Even without a reservation it proved pretty simple to get an iPad on launch day at the Apple Store in Short Hills. No lines, no waiting, in and out in 10 minutes.

There was some unnecessary pressure from the staff to activate the device in the store “to make sure it worked properly”. With wife and baby in tow I decided to roll the dice and activate at home.

I haven’t heard of anyone having activation issues, have you?
