Fastcase, the free source for caselaw and statutes, which had only been available on the iPhone/iPod Touch, is now available on the iPad.
The app is well done with a nice interface. Searches execute quickly and results are presented clearly and intuitively. You can search caselaw by jurisdiction and date range, and sort search results by relevance and decision date. See the screen shot below where I searched for my name (how vain!).
Access to statutes on Fastcase is fantastic. You can search or browse the U.S. Code, and all states except Colorado, Idaho, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming (the app offers to open Safari to a webpage where you can access those statutes).
All in all, Fastcase for the iPhone/iPad is a great app, and the price is right (free!). Definitely download it today.

Access to the program is free, but the data is only free if your bar association is signed up for the service, correct?
